Developed for Blake eLearning, Eggy Phonics is the first of a series of 3 apps designed for kids aged 3 to 7 to help develop language skills.
Phonics are considered to be an essential part of learning to read. Eggy Phonics 1 makes phonics fun and rewarding. This app focuses on the first 100 short-vowel words, such as cat, dog and bus. Eggy Phonics 1 also contains 5 fun activities and a variety of reward games and unlockable badges.
As lead developer I was responsible for the development of the application codebase, preparing it's use for expansion to additional editions by other developers, application flow, user interaction, sound and special effects.
Built leveraging Adobe Air and the Starling GPU Framework, Eggy Phonics was released to the Apple AppStore for iPad devices.
